video laryngoscopy tip

one tip I liked in particular:

 

DON’T CENTER YOUR VIEW ON THE CORDS

put the cords in the upper/left part of your video-screen view

–leaves more room in the oral cavity to pass (and visualize) your tube

rather than the usual instinctive this:

 

I tend to find the glidescope blade is rather large, and the glidescope stylet is rather unforgiving (but necessary) in terms of negotiating the remaining space in the mouth.  Will definitely be trying this trick out my next go-round with the glidescope.
