airway confirmation tip: keep advancing

difficult airway tip:

found this tip on lifeinthefastlane.com:

If you’re not sure if you’re in the trachea, push the ETT as far as it will go, then ventilate. If it was the trachea, you will have mainstem intubated, and only one side of the chest will rise.  Adjust accordingly.

same idea, different tool (courtesy of S. Sommerkamp)

tough intubation, using the bougie, but not sure if you feel the rattle: keep advancing the bougie: if it’s in the trachea, eventually, it will stop.  if it keeps going in, probably in the (esopha)goose.
